Friction Tester

This equipment is widely used for surface performance testing of interventional/implantable medical device delivery systems, including hydrophilic coating testing, coating wear resistance testing and coating fatigue testing, especially for catheters and guide wires containing hydrophilic coatings. The equipment is integrated with a high precision tensile force transducer, a constant force output fixture, a bionic silicone friction plate that simulates human muscle and blood vessel tissues, an automatic control system, and a data acquisition and calculation system. Through the test values and curves of the coating friction force can be clearly derived from the coating various performance indicators. After the hydrophilic coating process has been gradually popularised, the quality testing of hydrophilic coatings on product surfaces has also become a mandatory requirement. The new friction tester has become an essential test equipment for the production and quality control of interventional/implantable medical devices.
